Like a friend of mine said to his wife when she said "you can only play one at a time, so why do you need more?"
"You can only wear one pair of shoes at a time too, but you have about thirty fucking pairs!"
I've been learning some good shit in my lessons, getting familiar with the modes and learning by ear some solos - done Snowblind (sabbath) and Ace of spades (motorhead) so far. Doing some basic music reading, just learning notes on the first three strings with some simple melodies, so it's all good fun.
Went and saw Saxon on Wednesday night - fuck it took me back to twenty years ago - fucking loud in a pub/club type venue - they were good, though the sound was a bit messy - too much echo in the room, so if more than one guitar was playing at once, it became a bit hard to differentiate.
